All DesignQ products are created through 3D modeling; revised and refined through advanced prototyping processes and before production. These are then fully documented with extensive drawing packages, QA plans and specifications. The final step for production signoff is the approval of summary documents called a FPDs (Finish Product Drawings) - each finished product must conform to the specifications and tolerances during the manufacturing process. Any nonconformance is identified; the unit is rejected and cannot be shipped. This ensures that DesignQ customers will not be subject to field failures and costly product returns for replacement or repair. In the unlikely event of a field failure, DesignQ internal procedures require failure analysis and corrective action to prevent any repeat; this process includes the QA team that performed the actual audit as well as key individuals involved with the manufacturing process.

The gold standard of manufacturing is in establishing procedures that ensure part to part consistency that will always conform to the approved engineering sample. This seems to be a relatively simple concept but most nonconforming speakers result from deviations in materials and assembly procedures when these controls are either ignored or not continually audited. An integral part of process control is thorough and accurate record keeping. DesignQ has established documentation procedures that are fundamental to successful manufacturing. Every on-line operator is provided with a process chart at each stage of the production process. These charts provide clear, full color illustrations of the specific operation and concise written procedures for each operation.

Each product is inspected at each stage of production by each individual on-line operator serving as an inspector for the previous assembly procedure. Any deviations are consequently noted and immediately corrected. This is a tried and true manufacturing practice that has evolved over the last century primarily from American, European and Japanese automobile production.
